Tomatoes and Lycopene for Prostate Health & Cancer
Tomatoes are a good source of lycopene (an anti oxidant that reduces cancer risk and cardiovascular disease amongst other things).
Lycopene is great for prostate health and male fertility too!
Lycopene is more bioavailable (ie you absorb/digest it better) when eaten with fats (healthy ones!). Also, when you cook or puree tomato the body is better able to absorb higher amounts of lycopene.
