Bloated all the time and don’t know why?

Feeling bloated all the time and can’t figure out why? Low stomach acid might be the cause. 🚨 Symptoms include:

- Bloating

- Belching

- Flatulence 1-2 hours after meals, especially after high fat or protein meals.

- Abdominal pain/cramping after eating.

- Foul-smelling/floating stools.

Check out our last reel for how to test your levels of stomach acid easily at home!

Here’s how to naturally boost your stomach acid:

1. Apple cider vinegar(with the mother/unpasteurised) mixed with a little water drunk just before each meal.

2. Eat bitters 15-20 mins before a meal to stimulate HCl release. Examples: dandelion (stimulates movement through the digestive tract, is a diuretic and supports the liver) and goldenseal. Bitter tasting foods like fennel, rocket, chicory, artichoke, and watercress are also great.

3. Consume zinc (nuts, seeds, pumpkin seeds, eggs, oysters, fish, meat) and vitamin B6 foods (whole grains, sunflower seeds, legumes, walnuts, green veg, carrots, potatoes, avocado, fish) needed to make stomach acid

4. Avoid over-eating, eat mindfully, and avoid processed food.

5. Eat fermented foods like sauerkraut, kombucha, coconut kefir, and miso soup.

6. Add Himalayan/sea salt to food as this provides the chloride for HCl production, and a little cayenne pepper with food.

7. Avoid ice in drinks and consume room temperature or hot drinks only.

8. Try supplementation of digestive enzymes and/or betaine hydrochloride (HCl) as a last resort (under professional guidance). I love the ones from @pureencapsulations

And if all else fails here are some pretty swans and their babies in the rain!
